If you work across multiple computers and travel a lot, Evernote might be a good bookmarking software for you. I have been using it for the last couple of months and I highly recommend it. You can download the Evernote client for free from their web site at www.evernote.com.
Once you have installed it on your computer, you can clip screenshots, webpages and event text from the documents in your computer.
The clipped content is saved on the Evernote desktop client where you can drop them into folders defined by you.
The Synchronize button on the top will sync your content to your private area on Evernote’s servers. This helps when you are traveling and need access to your notes. Just log on to Evernote’s site and type in your account information.
You will be able to browse through your content via the web. If you have two computers, install Evernote on both and you will be able to sync information between them.
Evernote also works on iPhone and Windows mobile phones. If you have it installed on your iPhone, you can take pictures, record audio or type in text notes. All these will be synced with your web and the desktop client.
Perhaps, the most interesting feature of the software is image recognition. When you type in some words in the Evernote search bar, it scans through the text inside a photograph to find your words.
